If you have the Windows 7 32 bit DVD, you will need to do a custom clean install. If you dual boot, the recovery partition will not be changed or affected. The best thing you can do to avoid this is to backup the entire system as a system image before doing the install: ![]() I have done this before and I notice that the recovery partition does not work after deleting the recovery partition.
